IDA@Lehman

IDA@Lehman started with our participation in an curriculum reform project of the American Sociological Association, SSDAN (the Social Science Data Network) and sponsored by the National Science Foundation. It continues with the support of the National Science Foundation CCLI program.

IDA starts with the premise that the best way to learn sociology is to do sociology. Therefore work with data is incorporated beginning at the earliest stages of the sociology curriculum including (especially) introductory and middle-level courses. This work provides the grounding for more sophisticated work in upper level courses.

We welcome you to explore our website.

If you teach sociology or other social science courses and would like to receive updates or participate in our discussions, please create a password and user name.
